ISLAMABAD, Jun 07 (APP): Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi has expressed deep appreciation for the historic performance of Pakistan’s Sufi-opera star Saira Peter at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

In a statement issued on Sunday, he said the achievement is a moment of pride for the entire nation, highlighting Pakistan’s growing presence in global cultural and classical music arenas.
The Minister stated that Saira Peter’s groundbreaking performance before a 5,000-strong audience at the Royal Albert Hall has not only elevated Pakistan’s cultural image but has also demonstrated the power of music in bridging Eastern and Western traditions. He noted that her fusion of Sufi music with Western opera represents a unique artistic identity that reflects Pakistan’s diversity and creative strength.
He further praised her collaboration with international musicians and choirs, calling it a “remarkable example of cultural diplomacy.” According to him, such performances help project a soft and positive image of Pakistan globally and open new avenues for young artists in the fields of music, arts, and cultural exchange.
