ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (APP):Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi has expressed profound sorrow and grief over the passing of Senator Irfan Siddiqui, describing his demise as an irreparable loss to the country’s intellectual, literary, and cultural spheres.
The minister said that Irfan Siddiqui was a beacon of knowledge and literature and a custodian of Pakistan’s intellectual and cultural heritage.
“He consistently provided guidance for the promotion of civilization and culture, and his valuable counsel during the downsizing challenges of cultural institutions will always be remembered,” he added.
Aurangzeb Khichi noted that Irfan Siddiqui played a practical and visionary role in strengthening and promoting national cultural institutions.
“The Ministry of Culture greatly benefited from his guidance, and his wisdom will remain a source of inspiration,” the minister said.
He stated that Irfan Siddiqui’s literary contributions turned literature into a reflection of national identity, and his writings will continue to be a source of pride and learning for the younger generation.
“His distinguished services to Urdu prose, column writing, and intellectual discourse will be remembered in golden words,” he remarked.
The federal minister extended heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul a high place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and give patience and strength to the family to bear this great loss.
