ISLAMABAD, Oct 15 (APP):Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has highlighted Pakistan’s progress in macroeconomic stabilization, fiscal consolidation and revenue mobilization while reaffirming the government’s commitment to sustained reforms and export-led growth.
He shared these views while participating in the JP Morgan Investment Seminar titled “Pakistan: The Road to Resilience in a Turbulent Global Economy Landscape,” held on the sidelines of the World Bank Group–IMF Annual Meetings 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, a news release said here on Thursday.
The finance minister highlighted the country’s sustained primary surpluses and discussed strong remittances, improved foreign exchange reserves, a contained current account deficit and external debt repayments.

He emphasized the importance of targeted support for vulnerable households, careful energy procurement and sustainable, export-led economic growth.
