Attempts to impede Balochistan development to be foiled at all costs: President

ISLAMABAD, Aug 19 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday vowed that the attempts by the foreign-sponsored terrorists to obstruct the progress and prosperity of Balochistan would be foiled at all costs.
The president, in a meeting with Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, expressed confidence that terrorism would soon be completely eradicated from Balochistan.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti briefed the president on the overall situation in Balochistan and the ongoing development initiatives across the province.
President Zardari emphasized that effective coordination between federal and provincial governments was essential for maintaining peace, accelerating development, and ensuring public welfare in Balochistan.
He said that as the country’s largest province by area, Balochistan deserved special attention and adequate resources.
The meeting was also attended by the Central President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Women Wing Faryal Talpur, and former provincial minister Mir Ali Hassan Zehri.
