An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday sent Jammu Kashmir Democratic Party Chairperson Advocate Nabeela Irshad to jail on judicial remand and issued notices on her bail application.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 12 (APP): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday sent Jammu Kashmir Democratic Party Chairperson Advocate Nabeela Irshad to jail on judicial remand and issued notices on her bail application.
ATC Judge Abual Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain passed the orders after the arrested lawyer was produced before the court.
Her counsel filed a bail application, arguing that Nabeela Irshad had been arrested on suspicion of participating in a protest held at F-10 Markaz, Islamabad.
The defence maintained that she was not present in Islamabad on the day of the protest. The court issued notices seeking a response to the bail application and adjourned the hearing until the following day.
