ISLAMABAD, Jul 17 (APP):An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday extended the physical remand of 11 PTI workers arrested in Sangjani protest case.
ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Supra extended the physical remand of 11 PTI workers for four days. The accused were presented in the court by the police after completing their 3-day physical remand.
Ali Bukhari, Sardar Muhammad Shubhishek Khan, and other lawyers appeared in the court on behalf of the accused.
During the hearing, the prosecution told the court that the names of more people have been given by the accused, and further remand is required for further investigation.
The defense lawyers said that all these people have already been in jail for 10 months. The lawyer, referring to the decisions of the higher judiciary, said that further remand of these accused cannot be given.
The court reserved the decision after the arguments were completed and later ordered all the accused to be handed over to the police on a further four-day physical remand.
