ATC extends judicial remand of seven PTI workers for identification parade

ISLAMABAD, Sep 23 (APP): An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Wednesday extended the judicial remand of seven Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers arrested in connection with the February 15 protest on Constitution Avenue for completion of their identification parade.

ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Supra passed the order after police informed the court that the identification parade of the seven arrested workers could not be conducted.

The police told the court that the accused could not be produced for further proceedings until completion of the identification process and sought an extension of their judicial remand for the purpose.

The court accepted the police request and directed that the identification parade be completed before producing the accused before the court on October 5.

The seven PTI workers were arrested in a case registered at Secretariat Police Station in connection with the February 15 protest by PTI lawmakers and workers on Constitution Avenue.
