LAHORE, Feb 25 (APP): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday extended interim bail for several leaders and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in connection with the May 9 attack on Jinnah House.
ATC Administrative Judge Manzer Ali Gill heard the bail petitions filed by PTI leaders and workers, during which the accused — including Ali Imtiaz Warraich — appeared to mark their attendance.
During the hearing, the prosecution sought additional time to present the case record. The Investigating Officer informed the court that the record had already been submitted to the Lahore High Court.
Accepting the request, the court directed the prosecution to place the complete record before it at the next hearing and also ordered counsel for both sides to be ready with arguments.
After proceedings, the court extended interim bail of the PTI leaders and workers until March 27.
Ali Imtiaz Warraich and Owais Younis, PTI women members Syeda Fatima and Rukhsana Naveed, and party workers Kamran Saleem, Hasnain Ali, Taqi Khan, Malik Tariq, Ammar Nadeem, and Arshad had obtained the interim bail.
