Assistance under Kisaan Package is farmers’ right: PM

LODHRAN, Nov 6 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif
on Friday said the relief being provided by the government to
farmers under the Rs 341 billion Kisaan Package was their right.
Talking to the local farmers here, the Prime Minister said the
government was well aware of the problems and duty bound to
resolve their financial issues.
Earlier, the Prime Minister was briefed by Punjab Secretary
Agriculture Sheheryar Sultan about the implementation of Kisaan
Package.
The Prime Minister was informed that redressal committees had
been formed at each district to cover farmers under the package.
The Prime Minister directed the concerned officials
to implement the Kisaan Package ensuring that none
among them is deprived of this relief.
As many as 200 farmers were given compensation pay-orders
on the first day of the implementation of the package.
The disbursement centres would issue pay-orders on daily basis.
