ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (APP):Federal Minister for Power Division Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari on Tuesday expressed grief and sorrow on the anniversary of Army Public School (APS) martyrs, termed the tragic incident a dark day in the country’s history.
In his message, the minister said that the whole nation could never forget the sacrifice of innocent children of APS, adding that the remembrance of the attack on innocent children still makes the country’s people mourn.
“I salute the patience and perseverance of the bereaved families,” he maintained.
Awais Leghari highlighted that APS martyrs united the nation against terrorism and taught a lesson of sacrifice and said that Pakistan’s national resolve against terrorism was stronger than ever. There was no room for those who vitiate the peace process in the country.
He paid glowing tribute to the sacrifices rendered by the security forces and law enforcement agencies against the menace of terrorism, adding that Pakistan will continue to thwart the intentions of evil elements.
