SARGODHA, Oct 10 (APP):A delegation of the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), led by Sargodha Station In-charge Makhdoom Shah Latif Qureshi, called on Additional Commissioner Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Zafar Jamal Jasra at his office here.
The delegation included Athar Nadeem, Rana Muhammad Waqas, Rai Hassan Mahmood Dhudi and Muhammad Atif.
During the meeting, Makhdoom Shah Latif briefed the FBR official on APP’s operations and its role in disseminating authentic news at national and international levels.
Discussions focused on tax compliance, public awareness and the importance of revenue collection for economic stability.
Zafar Jamal Jasra stressed that timely tax payment was a national responsibility, urging citizens to fulfil their tax obligations to support the economy and avoid legal complications. He highlighted the role of public awareness and effective tax collection in funding public services and national development.
Makhdoom Shah Latif reaffirmed APP’s commitment to promoting tax awareness through responsible journalism and authentic information, emphasizing cooperation between the media and government institutions in the public interest.
