ISLAMABAD, May 10 (APP):A grand, dignified, and well-attended ceremony was held at the office of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) under the leadership of Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi to pay tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces in light of the historic successes of ‘Marka-e-Haq’ and ‘Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos’.
The event was attended by a large number of defence, strategic, and security analysts, Hurriyat leaders, intellectuals, political and social figures, youth, and individuals from various schools of thought. The participants highly praised the professionalism, courage, sacrifices, and unparalleled services of Pakistan’s armed forces in safeguarding national security.

However, he said, Pakistan not only inflicted a humiliating defeat on India on the military front but also shattered its arrogance by downing several warplanes, including three Rafale fighter jets. He added that Pakistan achieved significant success not only militarily but also politically and diplomatically, where young national leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari effectively countered the Indian narrative at the international level through strong diplomacy and a well-reasoned stance.
“The world must understand that the Kashmir dispute is fundamentally about the birthright of over 13 million Kashmiris to self-determination, as well as their dignity, freedom, and future,” he said.
He added that the Kashmiri people have rendered immense sacrifices for decades in pursuit of their internationally recognized rights and urged the global community to play an effective role in resolving the issue in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali, in his address, said that ‘Marka-e-Haq’ and ‘Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos’ were in essence battles fought for Kashmir, as Pakistan’s core objective remains the protection of the freedom, dignity, and right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
He claimed that the level of destruction and military losses suffered by India within four hours had no parallel even in the wars of 1965 and 1971.
He said Pakistan’s armed forces destroyed key and publicly declared Indian airbases, dealing a severe blow to India’s military pride and demonstrating to the world that Pakistan’s defence capabilities are impregnable.
He added that Pakistan secured not only decisive military superiority but also historic diplomatic successes. According to him, the Pakistani diplomatic delegation led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari effectively exposed India’s position at the global level and defeated Indian political and diplomatic efforts.
Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali further stated that Pakistan’s strong and effective retaliatory measures forced India to seek a ceasefire. He said Pakistan maintained that a ceasefire and lasting peace in the region would only be possible through meaningful dialogue on Kashmir and by granting Kashmiris their fundamental right to self-determination.
In his presidential address, Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for the historic success of ‘Marka-e-Haq’ and ‘Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos’. He said the successful operation had uplifted not only the Kashmiri people but the entire Muslim Ummah.
Safi thanked all distinguished guests, speakers, participants, media representatives, and youth attending the ceremony and said that the Kashmiri people would continue to uphold their historic, ideological, and emotional bond with Pakistan and its armed forces under all circumstances.
Speakers at the event emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces are not merely a military institution but a symbol of the nation’s honor, dignity, strength, and confidence.
They praised the unity, expertise, and professional coordination demonstrated by the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, and Pakistan Navy, calling it a source of pride for the entire nation.
Participants said Pakistan’s brave armed forces have always defended not only the country’s borders but also the hopes and aspirations of the nation, making the ultimate sacrifices whenever required.
They paid tribute to the courage and sacrifices of the armed forces and reiterated that the Kashmiri people stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan in the struggle for self-determination.
The speakers urged the international community to play its role in ensuring lasting peace in South Asia by resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
They said India’s aggressive policies, war rhetoric, and ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir continue to endanger regional peace, while Pakistan and its armed forces have consistently acted as a responsible state committed to peace, stability, and balance in the region.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, rich tributes were paid to the martyrs, veterans, and brave sons of the soil who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country. Participants reaffirmed that the nation stands firmly alongside its armed forces and is prepared to make every sacrifice for Pakistan’s security, sovereignty, and ideological frontiers.
