ISLAMABAD, Oct 3 (APP): Minister of State for Information
Technology and Telecommunications, Mrs. Anusha Rahman on Monday directed National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) to prepare a proposal for establishment of Technical Training Academy for young telecom graduates.

The basic objective of the modern Academy would be to enhance their employability potential.

She was chairing 90th NTC Management Board Meeting here
which was also attended by Chairman NTC, Viqar Rashid Khan, Special Secretary Finance, Dr. Shujat Ali, Joint Secretary (Development), Joint Secretary (Admin) MoIT and others.

Chairman NTC apprised the Board that the Corporation has made phenomenal growth during last three years and expanded its infrastructure throughout the country.

Moreover, NTC has also achieved 36 per cent growth in broadband sphere, he said.

He further informed that NTC has totally reinvented
and transformed itself by installing state of the art network exchanges and not only increased its consumer base but also earned a net profit of Rs. 257 million.

He said NTC has established first cloud based National Data
Center to provide a secure environment to government entities to host their data and applications.
