PESHAWAR, Oct 03 (APP):An anti-polio campaign continued for the second day in five divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and so far 1.2 million had been vaccinated.
According to the Health department, the campaign was being conducted in Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Malakand and Hazara Divisions.
It said that the target of vaccinating 6.3 million children has been set for the ongoing campaign, while Vitamin-A drops are also being given to children along with polio drops.
It said that 34000 polio teams are participating in the campaign while 54,000 police personnel have been deployed for the security of polio teams.
It is pertinent to mention here that two polio cases were reported from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year.
