RAWALPINDI, Mar 04 (APP):The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested two suspects, including a woman, and seized 142.45 kilograms of hashish worth over Rs16 million in four separate operations carried out around educational institutions and in various cities.
In an operation near a college in Haripur, the ANF team recovered 450 grams of hashish from an accused, a spokesman said on Wednesday. The accused later confessed during initial interrogation his involvement of selling drugs to students.
In another raid conducted near a shopping mall in Hyderabad, six kilograms of hashish was recovered from a woman, who was taken into custody.
Separately, the ANF seized 124 kilograms of hashish in Shakas area of the Khyber District. In a fourth operation, 12 kilograms of hashish was recovered from a vehicle intercepted near the Motorway Toll Plaza in Sheikhupura.
The spokesman said cases had been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act and further investigation was under way.
