ISLAMABAD, Dec 01 (APP):Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting 10 operations across the country recovered 2296.3 kgs drugs, worth more than over Rs 208 million and arrested five accused.
According to an ANF spokesman in an operation near Diamer Colony, Jatial Road, Gilgit, 500 grams hashish was recovered from the possession of a drug dealer.
In second operation near Kaak Pul, Islamabad, 70 grams hashish was seized from the possession of a motorcyclist.
In a raid near a university on GT Road, Gujrat, 60 grams weed were recovered from an accused.
The arrested suspects confessed selling drugs to the students of different educational institutions.
At a courier office in Rawalpindi, 52 grams weed was recovered from a parcel sent from America.
In another Rawalpindi courier office, 22 grams weed was recovered from a parcel booked from Thailand.
At a courier office in Korangi, Karachi, 21 grams hashish was seized from a UK bound parcel.
In an operation conducted near Pump Bazar, District Gwadar, 71 kgs ice drug, 13 kgs heroin and 10 kgs hashish were recovered from a plastic tank.
In a raid near Hameed Cross, Sarnan, Pishin, 2160 kgs Garda hashish was recovered.
The spokesman informed that in 9th operation conducted in Nigor Sharif, District Gwadar, 8 kgs weed was recovered.
In 10th operation near Toll Plaza, Gujrat, 33.6 kgs hashish was confiscated from a vehicle and two suspects were apprehended during the operation.
Separate cases have been registered under the CNSA-1997.
