Amir Muqam leaves for two-day AJK visit
ISLAMABAD, Sep 23 (APP):Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam on Wednesday left for Muzaffarabad for a two-day official visit to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
During the visit, Muqam will lead the “Jeway Pakistan” rally from Kohala to Muzaffarabad and meet the AJK leadership.
The federal minister is scheduled to meet the AJK prime minister, members of the cabinet and other senior political leaders. The meetings will focus on development, public welfare and other issues concerning the region.
Muqam will also attend a meeting of the PML-N AJK Parliamentary Party to discuss political and organisational matters, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.
The minister is expected to review coordination between the federal and AJK governments on development and public welfare projects.
The visit will also provide an opportunity for consultations with the AJK political leadership on matters of mutual interest and ongoing government priorities.
