ISLAMABAD, Aug 28 (APP): Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam on Friday, extended his heartfelt congratulations to newly elected Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Barrister Iftikhar Gilani on assuming the office of prime minister.
In his message of felicitation, the federal minister expressed his best wishes for Barrister Iftikhar Gilani and hoped that he would discharge his constitutional responsibilities with dedication and sincerity while playing a proactive role in advancing the development, prosperity and welfare of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Engineer Amir Muqam said that the development of Azad Kashmir and the well-being of its people remained among the government’s key priorities. He expressed confidence that the newly elected prime minister would take effective measures to further accelerate the pace of development and strengthen initiatives aimed at improving the lives of the people across the region.
The federal minister also conveyed his optimism that the new AJK government would work to promote progress and prosperity while addressing the aspirations and needs of the people through effective governance and public-oriented policies.
Engineer Amir Muqam was unable to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected prime minister due to illness. However, despite his absence, he conveyed his congratulations and best wishes to Barrister Iftikhar Gilani through a special message, wishing him success in his new constitutional responsibilities.
