ISLAMABAD, July 27 (APP): Pakistan’s Ambassador designate to Netherlands, Ms Iffat Imran Gardezi called on Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar here Wednesday.

Finance Minister on the occasion said that as Pakistan’s ambassador she should endeavour to enhance Pakistan’s economic cooperation with Netherlands with particular focus on building up bilateral trade and attracting investment.

The Minister also, on the occasion, referred to the investment undertaken by FrieslandCampina in food sector in Pakistan.

He said there was keen interest among Netherland’s companies to invest in Pakistan and they should be facilitated in every possible manner.

The Ambassador designate said she would make every effort for building up Pak-Netherlands relations.

She said there was great scope for strengthening cooperation in spheres like horticulture, dairy farming, energy and water management.

She added that there was 40,000 strong Pakistani community in Netherlands and it would be her endeavour to engage it in augmenting Pak-Netherlands ties.

She would also encourage them to take up investment and business ventures in Pakistan along with the Netherlands companies, Ambassador designate added.

Minister Dar assured Iffat Imran full support in her efforts
to fortify Pak-Netherlands cooperation.

Senior officials of the Ministry of Finance were also present in
the meeting.
