All set to celebrate Pak Defence Day in KP, FATA on Sept 6

PESHAWAR, Sept 5 (APP): All is set to celebrate Pakistan Defence Day in Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Fata with full national enthusiasm and patriotism on Tuesday.
The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the progress, development, peace and prosperity of Pakistan and eternal peace of departed souls of martyrs.
The people of Khyber Pakhuntunkhwa and FATA would also pay tribute to the martyrs of 1965 war and their sacrifices for motherland and would renew their pledge to give every sacrifice for defense and protection of motherland.
To celebrate Pakistan Defense Day with National enthusiasm, Pakistan Army has arranged different programmes in connection with Defence Day.
According to ISPR, different programmes have been chalked out by Pakistan Army to celebrate the day with national enthusiasm.
The Day would dawn with special prayers in Mosques for progress and prosperity of the country.
After “Fajr” prayer, special prayers and “Qurani Khwani” would be held for progress and prosperity of Pakistan besides eternal peace of the martyrs.
“Special Darbars” would be held at Army Units where achievements of the martyrs and “Ghazis” would be highlighted and tributes would be paid.
The major function of the day would be an exhibition of defense equipments at Army Stadium, Peshawar where different types of equipments would be displayed.
Fly past and band would also be perform. Entry of people to exhibition would be free after 12pm on September 6, however, people were directed not to bring weapons and bags with themselves.
The people were further asked to bring Computerized National Identity Cards along with themselves. The exhibition would continue till 5pm. In this connection, full dress rehearsal would be held at Capt Col Sher Khan Shaheed Stadium, Peshawar today (Monday).
The other major function of the day would be held at Ismaila Swabi where a “Chadar of Flowers” would be laid on the grave of Capt Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed (Nishan e Haider) and the contingents of Pak Army would present solute.
At the end of the day, a function would be held at Yadgar e Shuhada where political leadership, friends of martyrs, civil and military officers would pay tributes to the martyrs of armed forces of Pakistan.
