ISLAMABAD,Nov 11 (APP)-Federal Minister for Water and Power, Khawaja Muhammad Asif ha said all-out efforts were being made to eliminate load-shedding till 2018.
While talking in Radio Pakistan’s Current Affairs’ programme , he said about 10,000 to 12,000 megawatt of electricity would be produced under China Pakistan Economic Corridor initiative.The Minister said Balloki power plant would generate affordable electricity and job opportunities in the country.He said work was underway to complete nuclear energy project by 2018. Pakistan has also signed an LNG agreement with Qatar, which would help produce affordable electricity,he added.
