Aleem Khan praises JI for putting off long march, urges PTI to hold talks

ISLAMABAD, Sep 23 (APP): Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has lauded the decision of Jamaat-e-Islami of postponing long march, describing it as the party’s responsible and patriotic conduct.

In a message posted on social media platform X, the minister said that every issue can be resolved through dialogue and negotiations.

He emphasized that all political parties should work towards resolving differences through dialogue, as the country could not afford protests, unrest and political disorder under the prevailing circumstances.

Abdul Aleem Khan, who is also President Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, paid tribute to Jamaat-e-Islami Leadership and urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to come forward for dialogue as well.

He said that the PTI should withdraw its call for protest and come to the negotiating table, as solutions to all issues can be found through talks, and such an approach would prevent elements hostile to the country from taking advantage of disorder and violence.

Abdul Aleem Khan further said that the region was currently facing the threat of war and Pakistan was going to play a highly responsible role in these circumstances.

He stated that no person who loves the country can advocate vandalism, arson or destruction. He stressed that Pakistan currently needs unity and strength on the internal front. Therefore, he said, no activity that undermines peace and stability in the country should be allowed under any circumstances.
