ISLAMABAD, Nov 28 (APP):Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, met with Türkiye’s Minister of Trade, Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, on the sidelines of the 5th ECO Ministerial Meeting on Commerce and Foreign Trade, held in Istanbul.
During the meeting, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan highlighted the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Türkiye and expressed satisfaction over the growing, multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
He emphasized the immense potential for enhancing bilateral trade and noted that both sides agreed to work closely to increase the trade volume to up to USD 5 billion in the coming years. He reiterated Pakistan’s strong commitment to expanding economic, trade,and investment ties with Türkiye.
Both sides also exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest and agreed to work together across all sectors for further strengthening bilateral relations.
Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan congratulated the Turkish Trade Minister on the successful hosting and organization of the 5th ECO Ministerial Meeting, appreciating Türkiye’s efforts in promoting regional trade and cooperation. He also urged the Turkish side to consider increasing the import of Pakistani meat and rice, highlighting that Pakistan offers high-quality, more reasonable, and competitive prices.
