AJK Prime Minister announces to observe Jammu Martyrs Day on Nov 6

MIRPUR, Oct 31 (APP): The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir
Chudhary Abdul Majeed announced here on Saturday that Jammu Martyrs Day, would be observed on Nov 6 with due solemnity and reference.
The Prime Minister stated it will be a gazetted holiday across the
liberated territory on the occasion. Special ceremonies including seminars and symposiums will be held in all small and major towns of all ten districts of AJK including the capital city of Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Kotli, Bhimbher, Bagh, Rawalakot, Palandri, Havaili, Hattiyan and Neelam valley.
Talking to various delegations representing diverse segments of the
civil society besides senior officials of the AJK government at the Prime Minister House, he said like all previous years the Jammu Martyrs day will be commemorated with the renewal of the pledge to continue mission of Kashmiri martyrs to bring the Kashmir freedom struggle to its logical end.
“Jammu & Kashmir people will mark the historic day with renewal of
the pledge this year to continue the ongoing struggle for freedom of occupied Jammu & Kashmir from the Indian clutches till the achievement
of the last victory coupled with the heartfelt aspirations for the early peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute through a composite dialogue
between Pakistan, India and people of Jammu & Kashmir”, Majeed said.
The day will recall the remembrance of the supreme
sacrifices of over 2.5 lakh Muslim inmates of Jammu including men, women, children and elderly persons who were mercilessly slaughtered by
the armed Hindus.
The day will dawn with special prayers at Fajr in all the mosques
for the early liberation of occupied Jammu & Kashmir from Indian yoke
through the success of Kashmir freedom movement.
Quran Khawani will be held at various places for Kashmiri martyrs
under the auspices of various social, political and public representative organizations.
