AJK people hold protest, observe Black Day against killings in IHK

MIRPUR (AJK), July 15 (APP): Azad Jammu and Kashmir was
Friday echoed with full-throat severe anti-India rallies and
demonstrations, staged to register strong indignation and protest against the recent state killing of innocent Kashmiris by the troops in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) which have left at least 40 Kashmiris martyred and over 1500 injured during last one week.

In response to the call given by the AJK Prime Minister
Ch. Abdul Majeed, people across Azad Jammu and Kashmir observed protest/ black day Friday to mark their extreme protest over the recent gruesome killing of the innocent Kashmiris in Srinagar and rest of the held valley during their demonstrations against the recent killing of young Kashmiri freedom commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani and other Kashmiris.

It was also aimed at to express sympathies ane solidarity
with the freedom-loving people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir besides with the bereaved families of 40 of the recently martyred Kashmiris and with 1500 of other Kashmiris injured in the continued week-long tragic incidents of Indian troops firing on the Kashmiris anti-India and pro-freedom rallies in Srinagar as well as in its outskirts.

The election campaign for scheduled July 21 AJK Legislative
Assembly elections was unanimously and jointly halted on the call of the Prime Minister by all the contesting political parties and the candidates across AJK on Friday to join the day-long anti-India rallies, jointly staged, under the auspices of various social political and civil society’s representative organizations in the capital city of Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Rawalakot, Bhimber, Kotli and other district and Tehsil headquarters after the Friday prayers to mark the protest day.

In Muzaffarabad, the mammoth rally was held jointly under the leadership of PML (N) leader Iftikhar Gillani, Khawaja Farooq of PTI, Murtaza Gillani of Muslim Conference, Qazi Shahid of Jamaat e Islami, and Saqib Majeed to condemn the human rights abuses by Indian occupational forces in the held state.

The furious participants of the rally passed through major
streets and later rushed to the office of United Nations Military Observers Mission office in the State Capital where they handed over a memorandum seeking early movement of the United Nations and other global human rights organizations to get stopped their reign
of state terrorism and violence unleashed against the freedom loving people in internationally-acknowledged disputed Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir state.

They memorandum also called for early holding of plebiscite in occupied Kashmir to ensure grant of right of self-determination to the people of Jammu Kashmir to enable them to decide about their destiny.

In Mirpur, various protest rallies and processions were
taken out from different parts of city including from District
Court premises and the central mosque Allama Iqbal Road after Jumma prayers.

Participants of the rally raised slogans including ‘down
with India, down with Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir,
Pakistan Zindabad, Pakistan Say Rishta Kiyaa La e La Ha Illalah, Pak Army Zindabad, Kashmiri Freedom Fighters Zindabad, Kashmiri Martyrs Zindabad.”

After passing through major city streets, the rally
converged into big congregation of masses from all walks of
life.

Addressing the rally, the speakers strongly condemned
the fresh wave of state terrorism by the Indian occupation
troops in Held Kashmir.

Expressing grave concern over the fast deteriorating
situation in held valley where Indian troops have unleashed
the renewed brutalities against the freedom-loving Kashmiri,
speakers urged the international community especially United
Nations and global human rights organizations to immediately intervene to get stopped the repeated naked aggression, barbarism and ruthless firing by Indian forces on the peaceful rallies of Kashmiris protesting against the recent martyrdom of the young Kashmiri freedom fighter Burhan Muzaffar Wani and two of his associates in held valley.

Speakers underlined that the reign of brutal coercion
let loose by the the Indian occupation forces in held Kashmir
have killed over 40 innocent civilians and injured more than
1500 others during past one week.

Paying glorious tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs, they
said that the day was not far away when their supreme sacrifices would bear fruit and the liberation from the Indian yoke would be achieved in the valley of Jammu & Kashmir.

Describing the thrashing of injured civilians, lying open
in sky at hospitals in Srinagar, the speakers invited the attention of the world human rights organizations to manage for sending eye specialists to occupied Srinagar to aid hundreds of persons who have lost eye sight during ruthless use of firing and shelling by the Indian occupation forces on the mobs.

They said that through such shameful acts, Indian forces
were trampling all human rights which they added, should serve as an eye-opener for all international human rights organizations and friends of humanity.

The Speakers underlined that through raising against the
Indian rule, people in occupied Kashmir had once again proved that Kashmir was neither an administrative dispute nor an issue of change of governance in the Indian held territory but primarily involved to the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiris to decide their future and that no solution to the dispute could be arrived at by ignoring them, they added.

Earlier, in Jumma prayer congregations across AJK, Ulema and scholars paid rich tributes to the Kashmir martyrs and prayed for the salvation of the departed souls and grant of fortitude to the bereaved families and entire nation to bear the irreparable loss with courage.

They also prayed for the early recovery of thousands of the
injured Kashmiris languishing in various Srinagar hospitals without a sufficient and proper medicare.
