ISLAMABAD, Apr 13 (APP):Islamabad International Airport has expanded its domestic network with the launch of AirSial’s inaugural Airbus A320 service on the Islamabad–Sukkur route, marking a significant step toward improving regional air connectivity.
The first flight, SIF152, touched down at Sukkur at 12:10 PM on Monday, carrying 37 passengers. The return flight, SIF153, departed Sukkur at 1:12 PM with 39 passengers on board.
According to the Headquarters Pakistan Airports Authority, Karachi, the new connection is expected to offer travelers a more direct and efficient option between the federal capital and interior Sindh.
Initially, one weekly flight will operate on the route, with officials noting that frequency may be increased based on passenger demand and operational feasibility.
The launch underscores ongoing efforts to enhance domestic air travel and support economic and social linkages across the country.
