Chairman of the Department of Arabic at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Dr Abdul Majeed Baghdadi, has published the Urdu translation of the renowned Arabic travelogue “Ala Nahr Kunhar” under the title “Darya-e-Kunhar ke Aas Paas” (Around the Kunhar River).
AIOU translates Arabic Navol on natural beauty of Northern areas of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Mar 15 (APP):Chairman of the Department of Arabic at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Dr Abdul Majeed Baghdadi, has published the Urdu translation of the renowned Arabic travelogue “Ala Nahr Kunhar” under the title “Darya-e-Kunhar ke Aas Paas” (Around the Kunhar River).
This travelogue is written by the well-known Omani writer and Professor of Arabic Literature at the University of Nizwa, Dr Maryam Al-Badi.
In the book, she beautifully describes the natural scenery and local culture of Pakistan’s northern regions, particularly Kaghan Valley, Naran and the surroundings of the Kunhar River.
Dr Abdul Majeed Baghdadi has translated the book into fluent and accessible Urdu so that Urdu readers can also enjoy the captivating landscapes and experiences of this journey.
According to literary circles, this translation will play an important role in strengthening cultural and literary ties between Arabic and Urdu literature.
