NAROWAL, Sep 17 (APP): Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Professor Ahsan Iqbal Saturday visited Azadi Train here and appreciated Pakistan Railways’ efforts of introducing Pakistani culture in various areas of the country.
Talking to APP, after visiting cultural floats and historical
galleries, he said Azadi Train would help promoting harmony and cohesion among the people of various areas of the country.
He said Azadi Train would help familiarizing the sacrifices
of our forefathers in securing freedom in 1947.
During visit to galleries, Ahsan Iqbal wrote, “I’m pleased
to visit Azadi Train of Pakistan Railways. It is good effort to
introduce different aspects of Pakistani society and economy to the people of Pakistan.”
A large number of people were also present at railway station for reception of Azadi Train. The historical galleries also opened for public and huge crowed witnessed cultural floats.
Azadi Train will depart for Kasur after night stay at Narowal.
The visitors took keen interest in the cultural floats of Azadi
train. The historical galleries is attracting a huge number of
people.
Earlier, officer Incharge Azadi Train Muhammad Ali Chachar
briefed Federal Minister during visit to galleries and cultural
floats.
