Ahsan Iqbal shot at,injured in Narowal

SIALKOT, May 6 (APP)::Interior Minister Professor Ahsan Iqbal was injured when an accused shot at him in Narowal on Sunday.
According to senior police officials, the accused,
aged between 20 to 22 years, opened firing on the
interior minister. A bullet hit his right arm when
Ahsan Iqbal was leaving the venue of a corner meeting
in Kanjror-Shakaragrh, Narowal district, they added.
The accused fired the bullet from the distance
of 10 to 20 yards, Narowal DPO Kishwar Imran said.
Policemen and personnel of security agencies arrested the
accused who was later identified as Abid Hussain.
Security agencies shifted the accused to undisclosed
place, said the senior police officials.
The minister was shifted to the Narowal DHQ Hospital
where he was under treatment. Doctors said that his
condition was out of danger now.
