ISLAMABAD, Aug 26 (APP):Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal on Wednesday said that love for the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was not merely an emotion but a requirement of faith, stressing the need to follow Seerat-e-Tayyaba in individual and collective life.
In a video message from Masjid-e-Nabawi on the occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, the minister said the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) provided guidance for building a society based on love, tolerance, fraternity and humanity.
He called for fostering love, tolerance and mutual respect in society in the light of Seerat-e-Nabawi (PBUH), urging people to strive to reform their individual and collective lives according to its teachings.
Ahsan Iqbal said the government had established nine Seerat Chairs to draw guidance from Seerat-e-Nabawi (PBUH) in addressing contemporary challenges and issues.
He said efforts would also be made to acquaint the younger generation with the true spirit and teachings of Seerat-e-Tayyaba (PBUH), enabling them to understand and practically follow the noble principles of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The minister urged the nation to make Seerat-e-Tayyaba a guiding force in their lives and promote its message of compassion, tolerance, brotherhood and respect for humanity.
