ISLAMABAD, Jan 12 (APP):In a major step toward improving access to justice and strengthening service delivery, the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday inaugurated the Advocates-on-Record (AOR) & Litigant Facilitation Center within the court premises.
The facility was formally inaugurated by President of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan, Mr. Haroon-ur-Rashid, accompanied by members of his cabinet. The ceremony was attended by the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Judges of the Supreme Court, reflecting the judiciary’s commitment to enhancing support services for litigants and legal practitioners.
According to the Supreme Court, the newly established center is designed to provide structured and streamlined assistance to Advocates-on-Record, enabling them to better guide litigants on procedural requirements, case filing, documentation, and related matters. Built on a people-first, one-window model, the initiative aims to ensure easier access, quicker facilitation, and a more user-friendly experience for court users.
Officials noted that the AOR & Litigant Facilitation Center will serve as an effective bridge between litigants, their counsel, and the court administration. By improving coordination and offering reliable walk-in services, the centre is expected to contribute to a more transparent, responsive, and efficient justice delivery system at the country’s highest court.
