ISLAMABAD, Jul 02 (APP): Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue (ADCR), Farhan Ahmad on Thursday  organized a revenue open court which was attended by a large number of residents where land and revenue-related complaints were heard and resolved.
The initiative is part of an ongoing plan to hold such sessions every 15 days across different areas of Islamabad to improve public access to revenue services said the spokesman of ICT administration here.
The open court was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Saddar, revenue officials, and members of the public who presented concerns related to land records, ownership matters, and other revenue issues. During the session, citizens were given an opportunity to directly raise complaints before senior officials.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue listened to the complaints and issued instructions on the spot to the relevant revenue staff for prompt action. Several cases relating to land matters in Sarai Kharboza and Tarnol were taken up during the hearing and steps were initiated to address them.
Officials said the open court was held under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, who has instructed the district administration to organize revenue complaint hearings after every 15-day interval. The purpose is to provide a regular platform where residents can discuss their concerns directly with government officials and seek timely solutions.
Speaking on the occasion, ADCR Farhan Ahmad said citizens can also visit the ADCR Office during working hours to submit complaints and seek assistance regarding revenue matters. He added that the administration is committed to ensuring that public concerns are addressed through an accessible and transparent system.
Farhan Ahmad further stated that similar Revenue Open Courts will be arranged in phases across various sectors and localities of Islamabad so that residents from different areas can benefit from the service without traveling long distances.
He also highlighted ongoing efforts to improve transparency in revenue administration, noting that revenue data has been digitized to facilitate record management and public access. According to the ADCR, citizens can now obtain a range of revenue-related services online from their homes, reducing the need for repeated visits to government offices and helping speed up the processing of requests and applications.
