Acting NA Speaker briefed on progress of new parliament lodges project

ISLAMABAD, Oct 21 (APP):Acting Speaker of the National Assembly, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, was briefed by officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on the ongoing construction of the New Parliament Lodges Project during a visit to the site on Tuesday.
The CDA team provided a detailed overview of the project’s progress, including development milestones, infrastructure components, and projected timelines for completion.
The Acting Speaker underscored the importance of completing the project on schedule while maintaining the highest standards of transparency and construction quality.
During the visit, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah was accompanied by Member National Assembly Muhammad Moin Aamer Pirzada and Ms. Shaista Pervaiz, Convenor of the Parliamentary Taskforce on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Reviewing the on-site developments, the Acting Speaker reiterated the National Assembly’s commitment to providing modern and well-equipped accommodation facilities for parliamentarians.
He emphasised that such infrastructure projects are essential to strengthening institutional efficiency and ensuring a conducive environment for legislative functions.
