ISLAMABAD, Apr 08 (APP):Opposition leader in the National Assembly Mehmood Khan Achakzai on Wednesday offered unconditional support to the government.
Speaking in the National Assembly, he said, “We support the government for work that unites the people and benefits the world.”
He called on Pakistan’s top political leaders to rise above party differences and focus on the country’s democratic priorities.
Achakzai stressed that despite major disagreements, leaders should find common ground on national issues.
“Some may see this as irrational, but anyone ignoring the opportunity Pakistan has received is ignoring reality,” he said. He urged leaders to learn from past mistakes and take collective responsibility.
He emphasized the need for unity and mutual support during critical regional situations.
Referring to the Quran, he highlighted its guidance to cooperate in good deeds, saying that such efforts are essential for the nation.
Achakzai also praised Iran for safeguarding the interests of the Muslim world, calling it an example of responsible leadership.
He condemned divisive rhetoric and personal attacks, urging political actors to focus on constructive measures rather than conflicts that weaken Pakistan.
He stressed that cooperation among Pakistan’s leaders is crucial to uphold both national and Islamic values in challenging times.
