LAHORE, Oct 25 (APP): Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Tuesday termed locking down of Islamabad as an attack on the state.
Pakistan’s affairs would continue as usual on November 2, and if Imran Khan had the craze of staging any sit in then he must do the same against corruption in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, he said
talking to media persons during a surprise visit to Shalamar Circle of Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) here.
Imran Khan could undermine everything and go to any extant only to gain his political mileage, he said and added, only the court would decide about Panama Papers.
Abid Sher said that “political cousins” along with other triggers wanted chaos in Pakistan but they would again face utter failure. Though Panama Papers did not contain name of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, the PML N was ready to face all allegations in the court of law and they would accept whatever the court’s decision might be, he added.
The PTI, he said, must not interfere in the Supreme Court’s proceeding and refrain from mounting pressure on judiciary just to get a decision of its own choice. Those demanding Prime Minister’s resignation must keep in mind that general election would be held not before 2018, he cautioned.
To a question, he said that Sheikh Rashid was playing role of an agent even though he could not gather even one hundred people at Lal Havily, and how Jahangir Khan Tareen, being son of a constable, became billionare, asserting that Imran Khan must clarify that had he mentioned his sons names in his tax return and how their educational and travel expenditures were being met? While, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, he claimed, had been earning millions of rupees from his ancestral tomb and he then being Foreign Minister had also got his son employed with a senator. “Wasn’t that corruption (Dhandli),” he asked.
Abid Sher said that rest assure, more leaks would come forth containing names of Imran Khan and his cronies.
He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s name was interlinked with Pakistan’s politics and development, contrary to this, PTI’s stubbornness inflicted irreparable loss to national economy and stock market.
He viewed that Imran Khan wanted to sabotage CPEC projects by creating chaos and anarchy but he would face sheer disappointment.
Earlier, he mentioned, PTI attacked PTV and Parliament buildings
but the government tolerated it, asserting that there was no difference between Imran Khan and those elements, who wanted to divide Pakistan.
After being rejected by masses, Imran Khan was attempting to bring Armed Forces into politics and leveling unjustified allegation against an elected Prime Minister.
And anyone doing so, he added, was none but well wisher of terrorists and enemy of Zarb e Azb, Karachi operation, and law and order in the country.
To another question, Abid Sher Ali said that Pakistan was a peace loving country and always advocated peace in the world, and wanted cordial relations with neighbouring countries, but whoever committed ceasefire violations on Working Boundary would be retaliated with full force.
Minister of State also expressed his profound grief and sorrow over Quetta tragedy, and said Pakistan was now in war situation as a neighbouring country was challenging Pakistan and claiming of surgical strikes but on the other hand, “political cousins” were hell bent upon sabotaging the country.
To a query, Abid Sher Ali said that he paid surprise visit to LESCO’s Shalamar Circle with an objective to check over billing and detection of billing complaints, adding that government was making every effort to eliminate corruption from LESCO.
