Abbasi hails progress in US-Iran peace agreement, praises Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts

ISLAMABAD, Jun 15 (APP):Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has welcomed the progress towards a peace agreement between the United States and Iran, describing it as a positive and encouraging development for the region and the international community.

In a statement, Abbasi paid tribute to Pakistan’s political and military leadership for their role in promoting regional peace and stability.

He particularly commended Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying that Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts under their leadership have earned recognition at the global level.

The minister said Pakistan has consistently played a constructive role in advancing peace, stability and dialogue in the region.

He said that improved understanding between the United States and Iran would help reduce regional tensions and create opportunities for enhanced economic activity.

Abbasi emphasized that peace and stability are the foundations of regional development, trade and public prosperity.

He said that Pakistan’s political and military leadership had demonstrated wisdom and responsibility in supporting initiatives aimed at fostering peace in the region.

Abbasi said that the success of negotiations between the United States and Iran highlights the importance of diplomacy, dialogue and mutual understanding in resolving complex international disputes.

The minister reiterated that Pakistan has always supported the peaceful resolution of conflicts through negotiations, mutual respect and cooperation.

He said that regional peace would further reinforce Pakistan’s vision of connectivity and economic development, adding that the country would continue to play a constructive role in promoting stability, peace and economic cooperation in the future.
