Abbasi hails PM’s leadership over key diplomatic breakthrough
ISLAMABAD, Apr 08 (APP):Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi Wednesday paid glowing tribute to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for a major diplomatic success achieved under his prudent leadership.
In a statement, the minister said that Pakistan has secured a significant global diplomatic achievement, playing a pivotal role in facilitating a ceasefire between Iran and the United States.
He termed Pakistan’s role in averting a potential conflict in the region as “commendable and a matter of national pride.”
Abbasi highlighted the strategic guidance of Chief of Army Staff/Chief of Dence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, saying that his visionary leadership contributed significantly to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
He said that the civil-military coordination demonstrated during this diplomatic effort reflects Pakistan’s institutional strength and unity.
The minister also acknowledged the efforts of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, praising his proactive and dynamic diplomatic engagement that helped ensure the success of the ceasefire initiative.
“Pakistan has raised the banner of peace by saving the region from possible devastation,” Abbasi said, adding that the achievement stands as a testament to the country’s effective diplomacy, foresight and responsible global role.
