ISLAMABAD, Jan 28 (APP):Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi Wednesday expressed deep grief and sorrow over the brutal murder of a minor girl in Rawalpindi, terming the incident heartbreaking and unacceptable.
In a statement, the minister visited the bereaved family in Rawalpindi, where he offered his condolences, expressed sympathy, and participated in Fateha Khwani.
He assured the family that justice would be ensured and that those responsible would be brought to account.
Hanif Abbasi said that the murder of the 14-year-old girl was not only a tragedy for the family but a matter of serious concern for society as a whole.
“This case is my personal case and my top priority. The killers of an innocent child will not be spared,” he added.
The minister also contacted the City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi and received a briefing on the progress of the investigation.
Hanif Abbasi emphasized that the perpetrators would be taken to task and given exemplary punishment in accordance with the law.
“The government will ensure that the oppressors are brought to justice,” he added.
He assured that the government and Pakistan Railways stood firmly with the grieving family in this difficult time and would extend all possible support to them.
