9 accused sent on judicial remand in jail custody escape case, bail granted against surety bonds

The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Tuesday sent nine accused individuals to jail on judicial remand in a case related to the escape of suspects from police custody. 

ISLAMABAD, Jun 30 (APP): The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad on Tuesday sent nine accused individuals to jail on judicial remand in a case related to the escape of suspects from police custody.
The court also approved bail for all nine accused against surety bonds of Rs 20,000 each.
The hearing was held by Civil Judge Hafeez Ahmad, where police presented four arrested suspects along with five police officials named in the First Information Report (FIR).
The case stems from an incident involving the escape of suspects from police custody, which led to the registration of a criminal case at Sihala Police Station. Authorities launched an investigation and nominated a total of nine individuals, including police personnel allegedly linked to the incident.
After reviewing the case record, the court ordered that all nine accused be sent to jail on judicial remand. At the same time, the court approved their bail applications subject to the submission of surety bonds worth Rs 20,000 each.
The court further directed that any accused who fails to submit the required surety bonds should be produced before the court again after 14 days.
Police informed the court that the case remained under investigation and that proceedings have been initiated against all nominated individuals under the relevant legal provisions.
