8200 Kanal land acquired for allotment of plots to lawyers

ISLAMABAD, Jan 30 (APP):Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation is acquiring land in village Tamma and Mohrian for allotment of plots to members of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and Federal government employees.
The land is being acquired under Land Acquisition Act 1894 on parity basis for members of SCBA and Federal Government employees, an official source in Ministry of Housing and Works said.
He said the land measuring 8200 kanals in village Tamma and Mohrian Zone-IV has been acquired so far under Land Acquisition Act 1894, after completing the formalities of the Act. The award was announced on August 17, 2018 while location of this scheme is at Park Road, Islamabad, he informed.
Regarding Barakahu Housing Scheme by the FGEHF, the source said that Foundation has vigorously pursued early development of Green Enclave-I Housing Scheme at Bara Kahu after negotiation with the developer M/s Green Tree (Pvt.) Ltd.
With the approval of Executive Committee of the FGEHF, the payment of balance amount towards cost of land has been started as the hundred percent land has been mutated in name of FGEHF. The exchange of 700 kanal land
(hilly area) has been successfully negotiated with M/s Green Tree and further process is near completion for transferring of the land in name of Housing Foundation, the source maintained.
The final drawing has been prepared and acknowledged by CDA to be in accordance with CDA parameters and regulations.
A Joint Venture agreement, the source said, had been signed with M/s International Centre for Service Exchange & Co. during last year for purchase of additional land in Tehsil Murree to accommodate members of Green Enclave-II.
The development work on these schemes will be started soon after completing the legal formalities, the source said adding that development work will be completed in two years from the date of commencement as per joint
venture agreements.
