ISLAMABAD, Jan 19 (APP):As many as seven new private member bills were introduced in the Upper House of the Parliament on Monday.
The bill introduced in the Senate were included the Muslim Family Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the National Population Coordination and Reproductive Health Bill, 2026, the Elections (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Criminal Laws (Amendment) (Honour Killings Prevention) Bill, 2026, the Family Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2026, the Regulation of Virtual Assets Bill, 2026 and the Islamabad Metro Bus Service Bill, 2026.
The bills were introduced by Sarmad Ali, Samina Mumtaz Zehri, Dr Zarqa Suharwardy Taimur and Dr Afnan Ullah Khan in the House.
Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani referred all the bills to the concerned standing committees for detailed deliberation.
