6th shooting competition held at Police Lines HQ

ISLAMABAD, Nov 16 (APP): Islamabad Police  organized the 6th shooting competition at Police Lines Headquarters as part of efforts to promote community policing, strengthen cooperation between citizens and police, and enhance mutual trust.
An official told APP on Sunday that a large number of Islamabad Police senior officers, members of the shooting club, and citizens participated in the event.

Participants from the Islamabad Police Shooting Club as well as general citizens competed in various categories, including SMG, MP-5, and pistol shooting, where shooters demonstrated accuracy, discipline, and professional skills.

He said the competition was held in line with the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who aims to expand community engagement initiatives and encourage positive interaction between the public and the police force.

At the concluding ceremony, AIG Logistics Abdul Haque Umrani and AIG Complaint & Investigation Inayat Ali Shah distributed shields among the top-performing shooters and appreciated their professionalism and commitment.

The officials expressed that such healthy and skill-based activities play a vital role in reducing the communication gap between the police and the public, while also promoting a culture of responsible shooting and safety awareness.
