67,000 pilgrims deposit first installment, Rs42 bln received for Hajj 2027

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has received Rs42 billion as 67,000 intending pilgrims have deposited their first installment under the government’s Hajj Scheme 2027.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 20 (APP): The Ministry of Religious Affairs has received Rs42 billion as 67,000 intending pilgrims have deposited their first installment under the government’s Hajj Scheme 2027.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, 40,000 seats remain available under the 40-day long Hajj package, while 30,000 seats under the 25-day short Hajj package have been filled.
The first installment for the 40-day package has been fixed at Rs600,000, while pilgrims opting for the 25-day package are required to pay Rs650,000 as the first installment.
The ministry said the first installment is being collected through the National IT Board’s Hajj Digital Portal.
Three payment channels have been introduced through the Pak Hajj app and Hajj portal, OneLink PSID, bank card and Pak Hajj manual challan.
The ministry further said pilgrims opting for a separate two-bed room in Makkah will have to pay an additional Rs210,000 per person, while a separate three-bed room will cost an additional Rs70,000 per person.
