65th death anniversary of Shaheed-i-Millat observed

KARACHI, Oct 16 (APP): The 65th death anniversary of Shaheed-i-Millat Khan Liaquat Ali Khan, the first prime minister of Pakistan, was observed on Sunday.
Family members and others visited the grave of Liaquat Ali Khan, a trusted lieutenant of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, to offer Fateha, lay wreaths and pay homage to Shaheed Liaquat Ali Khan for his immense services for the cause of Pakistan Movement and then as the first prime minister of the country.
The All Pakistan Women’s Association (APWA) organized Quran Khawani at its projects on the occasion of the death anniversary of Liaquat Ali Khan, the acting president of APWA, Ms. Yasmin Dastur said.
The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) in collaboration with Social Students Forum and Payam-i-Pakistan will hold a debate contest on the life of Shaheed Liaquat Ali Khan on October 17 at 9 am at its auditorium.
The Vice-Chancellor of the FUUAST, Dr. Sulaiman D. Muhammad would be the chief.
Students of universities as well as colleges of the city will participate in the competition.
