Textile exports declined by 7.72 per cent, Senate told

ISLAMABAD, Nov 6 (APP): Minister for Commerce Engr Khurram Dastagir Khan Friday apprised the Senate that 50 Commercial Counsellors and Attaches had been appointed at Pakistan Missions abroad during last five years.
He said such appointments were made on the basis of open merit and all eligible candidates from all services group were invited for test and interview for the postings abroad.
During the question-hour, he said provincial quota was observed while making recruitment in departments, but foreign postings were made purely on merit.
He said the new Attaches would be sent to the Pakistan Missions abroad soon where the posts were lying vacant.
