The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the result of the CSS-2026 written competitive examination, with only 476 candidates, or 2.74 per cent of those who appeared, qualifying for the next stage.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 31 (APP): The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the result of the CSS-2026 written competitive examination, with only 476 candidates, or 2.74 per cent of those who appeared, qualifying for the next stage.
According to a press release issued by the commission on Monday, a total of 24,321 candidates had applied for the examination, while 17,351 appeared in at least one paper. As many as 16,342 candidates appeared in all the papers.
Of the 476 candidates who passed the written examination, 239 were men and 237 were women, indicating an almost equal gender split among the successful candidates.
The CSS-2026 written examination was held from Feb 4 to 15.
The commission said the successful candidates will proceed to the next stages of the selection process, including the medical examination, psychological assessment and viva voce.
The FPSC advised candidates to regularly visit its official website for information regarding the schedule of the subsequent stages.
The commission said due care had been taken to ensure the accuracy and correctness of the result, while reserving the right to rectify any error or omission found subsequently.
The CSS examination is conducted for recruitment to Pakistan’s civil services.
