38th death anniversary of sufi singer Sain Akhtar being observed

ISLAMABAD, Jun 16 (APP):The 38th death anniversary of renowned sufi singer Sain Akhtar is being observed on Monday.
He was born in 1945 in Lahore. Sain Akhtar began his musical journey at a young age and quickly gained recognition for his powerful voice and deep connection to sufi poetry.
He became widely known for his performances of the works of great Sufi poets like Bulleh Shah and Shah Hussain, bringing spiritual messages to life through music.
Over the course of his career, Sain Akhtar earned numerous accolades for his unique singing style, including the prestigious Pride of Performance award from the Government of Pakistan in recognition of his services to folk and Sufi music.
Sain Akhtar passed away on June 16, 1987, in Lahore.
