ISLAMABAD, Dec 01 (APP): The Senate on Monday passed three private member bills including the Rights of Persons Arrested, Detained or under Custodial Investigation Bill, 2020, the Limited Liability Partnership (Amendment) Bill, 2023 and the Fatal Accidents (Amendment) Bill, 2024 unanimously.
Senator Farooq H Naek moved that the bill to define rights of person arrested, detained or under custodial investigation as well as to codify the duties of the arresting, detaining and investigating officers, and providing penalties for violations thereof [The Rights of Persons Arrested, Detained or under Custodial Investigation Bill, 2020], as reported by the Standing Committee in the House.
Similarly, Senator Shahadat Awan moved the bills the Limited Liability Partnership (Amendment) Bill, 2023] and the Fatal Accidents (Amendment) Bill, 2024 in the House.
