LARKANA, Sep 20 (APP):Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU), Larkana, in collaboration with the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Pakistan (SOGP), organized the second symposium on “High-Risk Pregnancy” at Chandka Medical College, Larkana, on Sunday.
The symposium aimed to promote the exchange of the latest knowledge and professional experiences among medical experts regarding complications associated with high-risk pregnancies, modern diagnostic approaches, treatment, and the health and well-being of mothers and babies.
The symposium was chaired by Vice Chancellor SMBBMU, Professor Dr Nusrat Shah, while distinguished medical experts, including Professor Sardar Muhammad Alfareed, Professor Nighat Shah, Dr Aram Majid, Professor Nusrat Manzoor, and Dr Irshad Rao, attended as guests.
During the symposium, experts delivered detailed presentations on various aspects of high-risk pregnancy, including timely diagnosis, appropriate management, prevention of complications, and modern medical practices.
Addressing the participants, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Nusrat Shah said that protecting the health of mothers and babies is one of the most important responsibilities of the healthcare sector. She emphasized that timely identification of high-risk pregnancies and the provision of appropriate medical facilities can help reduce and manage many complications.
She further said that such academic symposiums provide an important platform for medical students, postgraduate trainees, and doctors to acquire updated medical knowledge and exchange professional experiences.
