ISLAMABAD, Aug 10 (APP):The 10th Annual Scholarly, Spiritual and Reformative Gathering was held under the auspices of Silsila-e-Aaliya Qadria Rashidia to mark the completion of a 26-year-long continuous lecture series on the Holy Quran by Pir-e-Tariqat Hazrat Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Sahib.
Ulema, spiritual scholars, authorized representatives and successors of the Silsila, followers of Qadria Rashidia and prominent personalities from across the country attended the gathering, said a press release on Monday.
Chief guests included Hazrat Maulana Dr. Maqsood Alam Bukhari, an authorized Khalifa of Hazrat Ji, and Hazrat Maulana Professor Ghulam Haider, former Arabic teacher at Government Zamindar Degree College, Gujrat.
Addressing the gathering, Professor Dr. Abdul Latif highlighted the teachings of the Holy Quran, purification of the soul, spiritual reform and remembrance of Allah.
He said the Quran provides guidance for individual and collective life and that following its teachings is the key to success in this world and the Hereafter.
Maulana Maqsood Bukhari also spoke on the importance of the Quran and Sunnah, remembrance of Allah and the company of the righteous.
The gathering also featured Naat recitations, poetry by Naat poet Liaquat Hussain Farooqi, Zikr-e-Ilahi and a special discourse on the virtues of the Holy Quran and remembrance of Allah.
The ceremony concluded with prayers for the security, stability and prosperity of Pakistan and for unity and solidarity among the Muslim Ummah.
